Coil forms for transformers, power supply chokes
Description
Coil forms injection molded from Rynite® PET thermoplastic polyester resin serve in transformers or chokes for applications such as electronic power supplies.
Benefits
High temperature service. Coil forms of Rynite® withstand high operating and environmental temperatures.
Miniaturization. The UL94 V-0 flammability rating of Rynite® at minimum wall thickness and its thin-wall molding capability allow downsizing of coil forms.
Saves time, money. Listing of Rynite® in pre-approved electrical insulation systems for UL 1446 Classes H (180°C) and N (200°C) reduces cost and lead time in bringing electrical products to market.
Precision pin positioning. Thanks to the high-temperature resistance of Rynite®, post-inserted pins maintain proper position after soldering of wire ends, even under severe temperature/time conditions.
Materials Used
Rynite® PET meets rigorous temperature, mechanical and other requirements for coil forms used in a number of complete UL 1446 systems. The systems also use readily available, off-the-shelf components, including several types of magnet wire, lacquers, insulation tapes, etc.
