Bobbins for telecommunications devices
Description
Bobbins for telecommunications devices are injection molded in Rynite® PET thermoplastic polyester resin.
Benefits
Excellent pin retention, minimum drift. Thanks to the high-temperature resistance of Rynite®, post-inserted pins in these bobbins remain firmly in place after dip soldering at 760°F (404°C). Pin retention force consistently exceeds 15 lb (67 N), and drift is negligible, according to Broadview's tests.
Standards compliance. Rynite® is recognized by Underwriters Laboratories for UL 94 V-0 and 5-V flammability performance and for service in Class B (130°C), Class F (155°C), Class H (180°C) and Class N (200°C) UL 1446 insulation systems.
Low production costs. Fast molding cycles and a blind pocket design tailored for automated insertion of square wire terminals hold down production costs.
Materials Used
Rynite® fills needs for dielectric performance, high-temperature stability, compliance with U.S. and international electrical regulations, dimensional stability and ease of molding in complex, thin-wall bobbin designs.
